Biography

Mehdi Raza Hasan (born July 10, 1979) is a British-American award-winning journalist, broadcaster, author, and media entrepreneur. He is the founder, CEO, and editor-in-chief of Zeteo, a new independent media company. He also writes a column for The Guardian and hosts Head to Head on Al Jazeera English.

Hasan hosted The Mehdi Hasan Show on MSNBC (2021-2023) and Peacock (2020-2023). Before that, he hosted UpFront and Head to Head on Al Jazeera English, and hosted the Deconstructed podcast for The Intercept. He was previously political editor of The Huffington Post UK and editor of news and current affairs at Channel 4.

His 2023 book "Win Every Argument: The Art of Debating, Persuading, and Public Speaking" became a national bestseller. He is known for his rapid-fire, evidence-based debate style and his willingness to take on powerful figures from both sides of the aisle. In November 2023, after MSNBC cancelled his show, Hasan launched Zeteo, a crowdfunded media platform that reached over 55,000 paid subscribers within weeks.
